Welcome To The World of Edge Sculpture in Miniature.

Experimentation over the past few years has been considering just how the sculptures could work on a smaller scale. Not to just sculpt smaller pieces but instead to explore the possibilities of turning what is a very large piece into a flawless miniaturised version of the original. The intention was to not only manufacture the miniature using the very same marble based stone casting material but to also paint the piece in the very same way as well.

Each subject has been originally sculpted from clay, which allows the creation of pieces that deliver both a dynamic and organic feel.

To be able to evolve a sculpt with the energy and fluidity required means that a sturdy armature is needed. Its primary purpose is to have the strength to hold the weight of wet clay as it is violently formed into its desired shape with such purpose that leaves a deliberate rawness within the body of every piece

The finishing touch is the skilful application of hand-painting with the end result being a statement piece
